Software with a Service (SwaS)
Software with a Service (SwaS) is a delivery model that pairs a software product with ongoing expert services, such as implementation, customization, and support, to deliver a complete solution. Instead of buying software and running it alone, the customer gets the software plus a team that helps it deliver results.
In a SwaS arrangement, the provider supplies the software and also the people who configure it, integrate it with existing systems, and keep it tuned as needs change. The service is part of the offering, not an optional add-on.
For example, a manufacturer adopting a vision AI inspection system might receive the software along with help selecting cameras, training models on its own products, and adjusting them over time.
SwaS differs from Software as a Service (SaaS), where the customer subscribes to hosted software and is largely responsible for using it. SwaS adds hands-on services around the software.
